Love it.......

I am not a huge fan of Dooney and Bourke bags but this particular bag caught my eye. I thought it was so cute. The prices at Dillard's were pretty reasonable. I might have to head up there this weekend. I hate Jill doesn't work there anymore and I could get her discount.

New York city......

The trip to NYC was one of the best trips ever. Kim, Virginia, Pam and myself flew out of Memphis at 6am on Sunday morning. We had a layover flight in Atlanta making the entire trip in about 5 hours. When we arrived at LaGaurdia airport in New York we caught a shuttle to our airport. We stayed at the Windham by Wingate on 35th street between 7th and 8th avenue.

On Sunday, we decided to head out and do some walking. We walked and found time square, we totally walked our legs off and ended up at Radio City music hall outside the VMA's (video music awards). We saw Pink arrive on a fire truck, too cool. We then saw Taylor Swift and Adam Lambert from american idol arrive in a horse drawn carriage similiar to Cinderella. Taylor Swift ended up performing outside the radio city music hall. It was so cool.

On Monday morning, we headed to the Today show and arrived at 6am. We were lucky enough to be on the "line" . We were filmed at least 2 times. I taped the show and got a huge kick out of it and I thought I looked pretty good. We met Natalie Morales, Ann Curry and Al Roker. I even got his autograph.

After the show we headed out to do some sight-seeing. We went to the top of the Roc that shows a view of the city from the top of the Rockefeller building. Personally this was not my favorite event. We then went on a 5 hour guided tour that included seeing the empire state building, John Lennon's house and the strawberry park. We went to staten island were on a ferry where we got wonderful pictures of the Statue of liberty. We also visited ground zero. It was worth the money.

Tuesday was shopping day. We started the day by heading to Chinatown via the subway. The subway was not that bad, it just was confusing. Chinatown is a sight to behold. You are standing in the street a a little china woman comes up to you and announces "louis vuitton, chanel handbag" if you nod then you follow this woman into the back of a store where there are dozens of knock off hand bags. Of course, it is illegal to sell knock offs. Then the fun part begins, you negotiate with them. I bought a juicy couture for Kelcy and a coach for Brooke, that I lost. We then went to Little Italy where we experienced some wonderful food. The were having the San Gennero (sp) festival. It was so much fun. Virginia and I headed to 5th avenue. We arrived pretty late so we did not get to do as much as anticipated. We went into Bergdoff Goodman, Louis Vuitton, Juicy Couture on 5th Avenue. Then we headed to Macy's, the biggest department store in the world. I could have spent hours and there (and thousands of dollars).

After a day of shopping we headed to a very fine steak house, then back to Times square. We did not go to bed at all the last night. We were exhausted.

The trip was a wonderful time. I wish I would have taken more money but I did not know I was going until a couple of weeks prior to the trip. But, I still had a wonderful time. Now is the time to travel because everything is so cheap. Hop on your nearest plane and take a trip.
