Wonderful vacation......

I love going on weekend trips. This past weekend we went to six flags. We rented a stow and go van that was super nice. A whole group of us went. The attendees were Ronnie, Pam, Autumn, Kelcy, Robin, Brooke, Jacob, Jill, Hailey, Caleb, Makinlea and myself. We spent the entire day Saturday at six flags. My calf muscles were killing me at the end of the trip.

On Sunday we ventured to Grant's farm in the morning. I love Grant's farm so much - you begin by getting on the tram and riding around the property. There are animals that are wondering around the property. I have lots of cool pictures of the family and animals.

I had to work on Monday and Tuesday so I have pretty much slept and layed around the house. I am exhausted.

Barack Obama......

I have always been a republican. I was raised republican and have always voted for republican president's. Until now, I really do like our president. He seems to be sincere in helping this country get back on it's feet. I love looking at pictures of him in the white house that can be found on http://www.whitehouse.gov/ . I guess he just seems real. I hope he will do good things for this country. A strange observation I have made is that alot of "white republicans" I have been in contact with think that he is doing a good job. Despite partisianship, the concensus is that he is trying to do the best for our country.

Nurse educator......

I have wanted to be a nurse educator for as long as I have been a nurse. I was a LPN instructor for almost 1 year and loved it. The only reason I left the job is because the state cut the program. It was cut due to poor performance prior to my tenure.

I only need 4 classes before I can start the BSN program. I can teach RN's while I am in the Master's program, post BSN.

I have been a nurse for so long I think it is time to do what I really love - teach. I do not want to perform direct patient care for my whole life. Now if I can keep the motivation for this.

New job....

I am very happy with my new job. I am working in the Emergency room in Clarksdale, MS. I worked there for about seven years ago for about four years. For the most part, all of the people are cool. There is a good mix of young and old, men and women. I was really nervous going back to work in the ER but I have remembered most of the skills. Clarksdale is a great place to learn. There is no other hospital nearby so this ER sees alot of trauma. It is in the Delta so the people are sick. I love Clarksdale, it is cool.

Just call me Martha Stewart......

As I am currently unemployed I have decided to try to eat at home more. One cheap meal that was on sale was fish sticks. So tonight I fixed fish sticks, french fries and hushpuppies. I ordinarily would bake the FF but I decided since I have hushpuppies I would fry the french fries. To my dismay, I did not have any tartar sauce. I happily googled it and voila' there was the recipe. I tweeked it to my liking and it was delicious. I would have taken a picture of it but I threw my cord away for the computer.

Pearl procedure continues....

What is Pearl?
Pearl is the “one laser to choose” to renew your skin’s surface with quick, visible results. Pearl treats fine lines on the face and neck, uneven skin texture and light & dark spots caused by sun damage.

I am one week post Pearl procedure. I have not experienced any discomfort since the procedure. I just still look a little sunburned. I have noticed a remarkable decrease in the little fine lines on my forehead. The pores on my face are much smaller. I still do not like not wearing makeup but beauty is pain.

Today I went to see confessions of a shopaholic. The movie is real cute. Isla Fisher is beautiful.

Pearl procedure.....

Today I had the pearl procedure done on my face. It basically burns the top layer of your skin off and helps create brand new skin. Right now my face looks very burned. I will be unable to wear make up for 2 weeks. It will be kindof hard no to wear make up for the next two weeks. And I am right in the middle of job interviews but I have explained to my potential employers what is going on. My doctor offered the procedure for 40% off that is why I did it at this point in time.
